The Islamic Creed Is Clearing Allāh From Residing In A Direction, Place, And The Rest Of The Attributes Of The Creations Because Allāh Is The Creator Of Everything
The Islamic Creed is clearing Allāh from residing in a direction, place, and the rest of the attributes of the creations because allāh is the creator of everything.
Likening Allāh to the creations is not the creed of Islam.
If someone says “We hear some people say about Allāh that He is in every place, so how do we respond?”
We respond: “Indeed that statement is corrupt because it did not come from the Qur’ān nor from the Hadeeth nor from the words of the pious scholars nor from the words of the guided Imams and the rational mind rejects it.
What is found in the Qur’ān and the Hadīth and the speech of the scholars is against that saying Allāh is everywhere. because Allāh The Exalted is The Creator of the place.
Allāh exists eternally without a beginning and he is The Creator of everything, therefore He is The Creator of the place and He is The Creator of the six directions and the sound mind dictates that the one who created the place exists before creating the place without a place.
Just as it is intellectually valid in the mind that Allāh exists before creating the place and the directions without a place and a direction, it is intellectually valid that He exists after creating the place without a place and without a direction and this is not a negation of Allāh’s existence.
These statements that we are saying are in compliance with the verse “ليس كمثله شيء” and the Hadeeth of Al-Bukhariyy and others Allāh existed eternally and nothing else existed.
This is what the Salaf unanimously agreed upon just as the Imam at-tahawiyy said: “And the six directions do not contain Him because they contain the creations.” Place, direction, movement, stillness, standing, and sitting are among the attributes of the creations.
This is the unanimous agreement of the Salaf. The Imam At-tahawiyy also said: “And whoever attributes human attributes to Allāh has certainly blasphemed.”
